5" Cracked Earth Planter Turquoise Matte

This planter has a dramatic cracked texture on the outside.

I started with a cylinder of black clay. I then impressed fern leaves around the outside and painted porcelain slip over that. After drying the piece, I stretched it from the inside to create the cracked texture.

I glazed the rim and the drain tray in a turquoise green glaze.

This one of a kind planter has drainage and an attached drain tray.

It is 5" wide and 5" tall.
