Birch Bark Mug Turquoise Matte

A one of a kind black clay mug with a birch bark texture around the outside.

I started with a cylinder and painted porcelain slip around the outside. I then stretched the piece from the inside. This created the crackle effect. 

This mug is dishwasher safe. I recommend handwashing to preserve the texture.
