Nerikomi Mountain Mug

The ancient technique of nerikomi was used to create this mountain mug.

Layers of colored porcelain were stacked to create a nerikomi cane. I sliced through the cross section of the layers and arranged them into a mountain landscape. The handle was also hand built using the same colored porcelain.

The outside has a transparent glaze, the inside is glazed turquoise blue. All glazes are microwave/dishwasher safe.

Each mug holds 12 ounces. There are 2 available.
