Nerikomi Mountain Cup

The ancient technique of nerikomi was used to create this art cup.

Layers of colored porcelain were stacked to create a nerikomi cane. I sliced through the cross section of the layers and arranged them into a mountain landscape. These pieces were inlaid into a speckled clay. 

All glazes are microwave/dishwasher safe.

Each cup holds approximately 10 ounces.
